Fewer decisions based on opinion
Base direction on what users actually say and do, instead of the loudest voice in the room.
UI/UX & Product Design
Replace internal opinion with evidence—user interviews, surveys, competitive analysis and usability research that reveal what users actually need before you design or build.
Find the needs and friction behind user behaviour.

Quick answer
UX research is the structured study of real users—their goals, behaviour, needs and pain points—used to inform product, design and business decisions. Integr8e combines interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry, competitive analysis and analytics review, then synthesises the findings into evidence design and product teams can act on.
Business outcomes
Integr8e approaches ux research as a business capability—not an isolated technical task. Priorities stay connected to the users, operations and results behind the work.
Base direction on what users actually say and do, instead of the loudest voice in the room.
Surface the needs, friction and misunderstandings that would otherwise surface after launch, when they are expensive to fix.
Give product, design and engineering one evidence base and set of personas instead of everyone holding a different mental model.
Synthesise findings into clear, prioritised implications design and product can act on, not a report that sits unread.
What we deliver
One connected team covers the decisions and delivery work needed to move from uncertainty to a dependable outcome.
Run one-on-one interviews that uncover goals, workflows, frustrations and language in users' own words, not what a form or ticket implies.
Design and analyse surveys that validate how widespread a pattern is once qualitative research has identified it.
Observe users in their real environment or workflow to see what they actually do, not just what they report doing afterward.
Assess how competitors and adjacent products solve the same problem, to find genuine differentiation instead of copying defaults.
Build personas grounded in interview and behavioural evidence, not internal assumptions about who the user is.
Evaluate an existing product against usability principles and research evidence to find friction before running a full study.
Combine product analytics with qualitative findings to explain not just what users do, but why.
Turn interviews, surveys and analytics into prioritised findings and a searchable record the whole team can use going forward.
Is this the right fit?
Not every challenge needs the same team or solution. We start by testing the business case, current constraints and fastest credible route to value—then recommend a scope that fits the evidence.
How delivery works
The plan adapts to your context, while short feedback loops and visible milestones keep the engagement controlled.
Agree the decisions this research needs to inform and the riskiest assumptions behind them.
Recruit participants who match your real users, roles and screening criteria—not a convenience sample.
Run interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys or audits matched to the questions that actually need answering.
Turn raw notes and data into themes, personas and prioritised findings the team can act on.
Present findings with clear design and product implications, and carry them into the next stage of work.
Technology context
We select platforms against security, scale, team fit, integration needs and the full cost of ownership.

UX research is broader discovery work—understanding who users are, what they need and how they currently behave, often before a design exists. Usability testing evaluates a specific prototype or product against real tasks. Integr8e's UX research service covers discovery; testing a prototype is covered under our prototyping and testing service, and the two are often sequenced together.
Method choice depends on the question. We use one-on-one interviews and contextual inquiry for depth, surveys for scale and validation, competitive and heuristic analysis for market context, and analytics review to see what users actually do rather than only what they report.
Personas are built from interview and behavioural evidence—goals, workflows and language drawn from real users—rather than internal assumptions. We keep the number of personas small and specific enough that they change real design and prioritisation decisions, instead of becoming a poster no one references again.
Qualitative interviews typically surface most major themes within five to eight participants per user segment; additional interviews within the same segment tend to repeat existing findings rather than reveal new ones. We add segments or a survey when we need to confirm how widespread a pattern is, not just that it exists.
Both. For an existing product, we can run a UX audit, contextual inquiry or analytics review to find where users struggle today. For a new idea, research focuses on validating the problem and need before any design work begins.
Deliverables typically include synthesised findings, personas or segments, prioritised implications for design and product, and a research repository the team can reference for future decisions—rather than a report that is read once and archived.
A focused round of interviews or an audit typically takes two to four weeks including recruitment, research and synthesis. Broader studies covering multiple segments, markets or methods take longer. Integr8e confirms timing after scoping the decisions the research needs to inform.
